Business Website

Mention the word website to a brick and mortar business owner, and you’re going to get a reaction, and it’s usually NOT pleasant!

I’ve built website for my businesses, like this one, and my brick and mortar businesses too. In fact, I’ve built a LOT of websites! And, if I’m totally honest I get why a business owner hates talking about their website. It’s a lot of work. And, it’s expensive, so we often push it to the side, and it’s never popping up at the top of your to-do list.

Well, I think we all know that’s not the right way to approach our website. Listen, I’ve been around long enough to remember making and buying Yellow Page ads. Depending on where you lived, and what industry you were in you could spend thousands on those ads. You had to because that’s where people went when they needed a service, or they wanted to see what to start the shopping process. The Yellow Pages provided them with all the information they needed, and it was used ALL the time.

Now, if I wrote the paragraph about and substituted ‘Google’ for for ’Yellow Pages,’ would my paragraph read true today… yep! I don’t want to sit here and debate whether that’s good or bad, to me the only thing that truly matters is that statement’s true!

Let me share with you a HUGE silver lining, you can use your website as an awesome, powerful tool! I regularly have people sign up for my business and we always try and get a sense of how and why they chose us, and it’s extremely common for the customer to say, “I looked at your website…,” “I did my shopping and line, and I looked at you, Competitor #1, Competitor #2, and you’re exactly what I want,” and other answers that show my website was a fantastic salesperson for me! I’ve built my site not to be a digital brochure, but instead a 24/7 salesforce.

I encourage you to grab all the information I’m putting here on this website, and if you do, I am going to show you EXACTLY how your website can do the exact same thing.

I will show you how to structure your site, what needs to be on your site, and how to create it. But, here’s something really important, you need to take control of your website, stop outsourcing everything!

If you want to take the information I am sharing with you and ask someone to build your site that’s perfectly fine. But, you need to have your site built using a platform you become comfortable editing and modifying. For me, my website’s my number one salesperson, would it make sense if I set my business up so I could not work with, and support my primary source of sales…. no!

Please use the details I provide on this website, but here’s a tree-top view of how your site needs to be designed:

Easily to navigate, so search engines and customers can find all your products or services.

A clear message that tells consumers why you are the best choice for your products or services - this should be on your home page, near the top, and it should also be adopted, reiterated and restated on your sub pages of the website.

Information that clearly projects your business as the most capable and desirable source for the products and services you offer.

Here’s the bottom line - your website, along with offering the highest level of quality and customer service are the bedrock to business success today. Let me help your business flourish, it’s not as difficult as you’re thinking, hang in here with me!
